Style Me Pretty Inspiration.

I discovered StyleMePretty today and instantly went glossy eyed. I love this post they did on a wedding which includes the photo shown above. I became an instant fan of the photographer. I'm taking mental notes on the details as inspiration for my own wedding one day. But keep in mind, I'm totally the girl that would attempt at as much DIY as I possibly can with wedding decor. :)

More flowers.

I always process each photo individually, so each photo turns out a different shade or tone or whatever (as you can clearly see above, its obvious in the different tones of the pavement.) =/ Perhaps I should start using actions? I guess the point of actions in Photoshop is so that they all turn out looking similar...correct? Anyways, here are some photos I took yesterday. Hopefully I'll be able to put some faces into this blog soon. Btw, it hit me yesterday that I unconsciously fiddle with the focal length. X.X So silly/stupid. I was like, "I'm zooming with my feet, why the heck does every picture look like its shot from a different distance? This realization hit me mid-shooting, and so I set it at 50 mm and didnt touch it. Hopefully, my shots will have better...flow....from now on. Oh the agony of stupid mistakes. Well, I live and I learn. Sighs.

Beet Cake?

Artistic and beautiful. Found this on Babyhedgehogs' blog. This immediately took me away from my blues this morning as I watched in amazement. Hope it helps to calm down those Wednesday Hump day stresses. You'll get through this! More of the videographer's videos here.

Alive!

 I'm not losing interest in this blog, I promise! :) I'm getting bored of the content though...I need a change of scenery!

I don't remember how I stumbled upon Celine Kim's blog, probably through Flickr or a Flickr contact's blog, but nevertheless, I find her pictures will often break my blues, especially this one shown above. It's not easy to put a genuine smile on my face, but this shot sure does. :)

Capturing and Scrapbooking Moments.

The instant printer and the scrapbook at the end of the blogpost from From Me To You is such a treasure. (See the photo above, from Jamie Beck's blog.) If I could afford the luxury of buying that printer and photo paper, my next personal recreation project would be to make a lovely scrapbook like the one she has shown. Love the frames.

Headers. So me.

I was bored so I made both of these headers. Tea is for "T" in Tiffany, an appropriate moniker for me. It might be difficult to tell, but it says "tea lu" Took 3 minutes to grab a sharpie, draw it, take a snapshot, email it, and photoshop. The two shots below the header are the original cell phone shots I took to upload it to my comp.

And then I had a cute idea. It's kind of sad though. Makes me kinda sad. See here.

Thats my handwriting. I'm not quite sure why but I like to make designs like this. Spontaneously.

One of the places that I visit most often in NYC is Kyotofu. It's a small place but cute. We went for desert here after dinner.

Three Pink Ladies.

Disclaimer: I had a little too much fun with this :P

The mini dress I'm wearing has this drawn print of three posh looking ladies...so I had to follow suit with the posh theme! Also, as I'm writing this, I think I just realized that 800 px width looks normal on my gigantic work computer screen, but its HUGE on normal computer screen and probably looks super obnoxious and pretentious. Oops. I'll make it something like 400 px from now on....

Something different.

Made an effort to take and process out-of-the-ordinary pictures today. 

They might be seen and done before, but I tried to capture something new.

This is exciting! I like getting messy and creative.

The Pizzeria

At lunchtime, I'll often go to this pizzeria for a slice or garlic knots. Their pizza is alright, but what really takes me there is the free, fast wifi outside of the office :)

It's raining outside.

 

Does anyone else ever feel like they always see the same kind of pictures over and over and meet the same kind of people over and over everywhere they go? 

I'm SO. BORED.

I'm not the kind of person who is easily excited by things, which is a bad thing because I swear I'd be happier and more satisfied in life I were easily pleased.
The more and more I invest in this blog, the more and more typical of me it becomes. My multiple tumblr  blogs are always, simple gray text, plain white backgrounds, and picture after picture. I need something new in here.
Also, Courier was really starting to bore me as well. So I changed it.

Dim Sum.

Had dimsum for lunch. Since I'll be hardcore doing work for most of the day, I figured I'd bring the camera with me and make the most out of the down time I had.

I like using text to add some jazz. Maybe I'll do this more often :)

Home Gardening.

 I took some pictures yesterday because I was home alone and needed a break from myself. Since my dad is still in Taiwan, no ones been tidying his garden (he'll be so excited to clean it up once he gets home, the messier the better) and I decided to take pictures of the jungle that used to be a neat little garden in  the yard. I'm still not sure if I'm satisfied with these. (Probably not.) The focus is off in one of the pictures and I took a few nice pictures of cucumbers, but it was almost impossible to spot them clearly because they blend right into the background. After looking through many flickr images from photographers, this is my most recent rule of thumb: BACK. UP. A rule which I didn't do so great with this photosession.

My dad built his garden frame out of bamboo. You easily spot the unripened tomatoes and vines, but can u spot the cucumber at first glance?

I wanted to snap some mundane things around the yard...and whats more mundane than patches of grass :P Also, I forgot my recent rule of thumb in these two shots and didn't back up farther from the subjects. I think they would have turned out much more nicely if I had done so.

I'm not a tomato fan but I'm excited to watch them ripen to a nice red color :) It'll be a nice contrast from allllllllll the green and yellow. It was all gray skies during my photo session yesterday, hopefully today will be different.
